The Augustana Teaching Museum of Art serves the college and the community through art collection, preservation and exhibition. It provides a valuable component to an Augustana liberal arts education through study, teaching and research using original art.

During a special Museum Week tour of the ATMA art storage and collections, you will hear about some museum mysteries along the way.

Wednesday, June 22 from 6:00pm-7:30pm - The ATMA will be offering a very special tour of their art storage and campus collections during Museum Week. The tour will begin in front of Centennial Hall. Parking is available in the adjacent lot, on the NW corner of 38th St. and 7th Ave. During the tour, learn more about a mystery of a clandestine swap of a portrait of one of Augustana's former presidents.

descriptionAbout Augustana Teaching Museum of Art
The Augustana Teaching Museum of Art provides our communities with meaningful opportunities to utilize art as a window into critical thinking, a mode of posing questions, a way of materializing ideas and a mechanism to catalyze conversations between and across disciplines. By bringing the visual arts to the heart of the Augustana experience and seeking to better understand the world through the medium of visual art, the collections, study spaces, exhibitions and programming are used to provoke curiosity, inquiry and collaborative learning, as well as provide a mechanism for insight and contemplation.
