SPOTLIGHT ON THE QUAD CITIES
Come and visit this unique museum housed in the former First Church of Christ Scientist. The grand Rock Island church was closed, dormant and neglected for almost 20 years before being renovated into the manuscript museum. Today, this 1914 structure has been restored and features an amazing 12-foot-tall, stained glass dome.  From floor to dome base is an additional 40-feet of height. Discover the museum and this amazing building during Quad Cities Museum Week.

The exhibit during Museum Week features a collection of the atomic bomb drawings, pictures, maps, and letters.  Four model ships with corresponding documents and a room filled with early communication devices and documents from Samuel F.B. Morse are just some of the things to discover during Museum Week 2017. http://www.rain.org/~karpeles/RIfrm.html
