MUSEUM WEEK EVENTS

In celebration of Museum Week, Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village will host its 3rd Annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday June 9  from 1-4, free admission. Area church groups will have pie, desserts and crafts for sale on the grounds and the Soda Fountain will be open selling sundaes, ice cream sodas, and more. Old time music will be performed by Banjo Jeff.

HOURS: Buildings are open April 1-Oct. 31, 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Soda Fountain is open Saturday and Sunday May-Sept from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ADMISSION: Suggested donation admission to the grounds is $2.00 adults, $1.00 children at the self-serve donation box on-site. Event admission varies.

Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village & Olde St. Ann’s Church is a Scott County Conservation site. Often called the hidden gem of Scott County, Iowa, it has 19 buildings to tour including an 1870’s church, one-room school, train depot, blacksmith shop, 1850’s log cabins, general store, jail, soda fountain and saloon.
